ok. serbia...fuck what can i say. i took a day trip from novi sad to belgrade by myself. not too smart.. but hell i dont think ill be back there anytime soon. and country dont stay the same...
so its dark by the time im getting back on the train ...and im scared. cause when you get on the train you have to pick a car to sit in and share and if you pick the wrong one your in trouble. and the lights dont come on till the train starts moving so you have to kinda guess. you ve never seen trains like these. dark and damp and full of hate and graffiti and cold to the bones. but just as were boarding i met this young soldier doing his manditory service. miroslav.
the poor kid was worn to death and full of ghosts. i mean i cant imagine what its like to serve in the serbian army. he tried his best to paint me a picture. it was, i believe impossible. but anyway we had a long ride together talking about his country. most of which he stated is made up of men who cant read or write but know how to hold guns and hate.
we saw a kid on a tabogon getting pushed off the steepest hill in the world by his parents. a cliff basically. i laughed saying the kid musta been shitting himself and miroslav smiled and said proudly; serbian children dont fear anything except war.
